My love was hanging on by a thread
when you asked me for one more impossible thing-
I couldn’t bend over backwards anymore
twisted up too far already from making myself fit to you;
Even gouged out my eyes to be blind to your flaws-
Gave you the world
but I couldn’t give you my Life.
Emotion reliquary painting
